Water Damage In Greenwich Commercial Storeroom

Recently, SERVPRO of Greenwich received a call from the store manager of a sunglasses retailer in Greenwich.  A pipe leak caused water to pool on the floor of the storage area where stock was being kept.  We responded within an hour, and began to remediate the damage.

First, we moved the affected products to another location, so the entire storeroom was available to be remediated.  Then, using water extractors and mops, we removed the standing water from the area.  Once, all pooled water was removed, we set up an array of air movers and dehumidifiers to thoroughly dry the area, including floors and lower walls.  The final step was to remove the stored items from wet cardboard boxes, and transfer them into new, dry boxes.

Much to the store manager’s surprise, she did not even have to close the store.  We were able to do our job quickly and efficiently with no business interruption.
