Many materials that are common in homes and businesses can become discolored when exposed to prolonged contact with water.  When materials like drywall, ceiling tiles, or flooring become saturated, they tend to change colors.  For drywall or ceiling tiles, yellowing or darkening is common.  When hardwood floors become saturated, they will darken.  They may also tend to get misshapen.  If you see any of these signs, call a water remediation professional.
